Jimmy also announced that Jennifer will perform Feel The Light on American Idol on March 19!!
Per Deadline, Jennifer Lopez and Gregory Nava are teaming up for a limited series on NBC. The series, California, is “a sprawling story interweaving historical characters and events, which follows a [fictional Latino] family across eight generations from the days of the California ranchos and missions right up to the present.”
Jennifer is set to executive produce alongside her producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Benny Medina, through her Nuyorican Productions. Gregory Nava will co-write and direct the series. Of course, Gregory Nava directed Jennifer in My Family, Selena and Bordertown, so they’ve known each other for many years.
Jennifer is also working on Shades of Blue with NBC this year. She will begin filming Shades after American Idol is done filming this season.

Jennifer Lopez posted a few sneak peeks of her upcoming music video for Feel The Light on Instagram! Feel The Light is a new song Jennifer recorded for the HOME soundtrack, and it is available on iTunes now!
Jennifer is sporting a futuristic look that seems in line with HOME’s premise. HOME is an animated film that centers on Oh, a loveable misfit from another planet. When Oh lands on Earth and finds himself on the run from his own people, he forms an unlikely friendship with an adventurous girl named Tip who is on a quest of her own. Jennifer plays Tip’s mom, Lucy.
