Jennifer Awarded With ET Icon Award

ET awarded Jennifer Lopez with their first ever ET Icon Award for all her accomplishments in showbusiness. The distinction was created to honor stars that have made a huge impact on our audience over the span of decades. “It is such an honor, honestly,” Lopez said. “It really does mark a career, something like this. You realize how long you’ve been doing it, and you realize that people actually do appreciate what you do. It means a lot and I’ll treasure this. Thank you so much.”

In the video below you can see Jennifer receiving the award. It also features some footage from years ago and a small interview.

Congrats to Jennifer on another icon award!

American Idol Premiere Announced!

FOX announced today that American Idol will begin its 15th – and farewell – season with a special two-night, four-hour premiere event Wednesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Jan. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT)!

Idol will then continue on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursdays (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). This probably explains why NBC moved the premiere of Shades of Blue up by one week to January 7; A two-hour premiere on January 14 would have had Jennifer competing against herself from 9:00-10:00.

Four hours of JLo on TV every week? Count us in!
