Jennifer Lopez Named One of Time’s 100 Most Influential

Jennifer Lopez is on the artists featured on the cover of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential people. Jennifer is featured in the ICON category, which I think is very fitting! The magazine features a write-up by Kerry Washington who grew up watching Jennifer perform at their Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx. Here’s an excerpt

As a kid growing up in the Bronx, I used to watch Jennifer Lopez from the wings. Several of us girls would hide in the folds of the curtains at the Boys & Girls Club to watch her perform. We were in awe of our neighborhood role model and phenom. When Jennifer left the Bronx to pursue her dreams, I would rush to finish my homework on Sunday to watch her on In Living Color. She made me believe that you could come from where we came from and achieve whatever you imagine is possible.

All I Have, Part 2!

On Friday, I had the opportunity to see Jennifer Lopez’s “All I Have” in Las Vegas again! I last saw it in February 2016 and I was so glad I could make it back before the show closes on September 29! I love being as close as possible, so I opted for general admission and it was amazing seeing the show up close like that. We know it’s called “All I Have” and there is no doubt Jennifer really is giving it her all. She told me later that she had just flown in that day to do the show, which I never would’ve guessed from the way she was performing. She and the dancers killed it on that gorgeous stage!

I had the opportunity to see Jennifer backstage after the show and she shared that she’s very excited about everything she has coming up, including new music videos very soon! She said she’ll be working hard through the end of the year and then she intends to take a break. We all know that if anyone deserves a break, it’s her! Before that, though, we have a lot to look forward to: new music, her new makeup line, the final season of Shades of Blue, season 2 of World of Dance, her new movie Second Act, and a few projects that haven’t been announced yet!

I posted some videos and photos from the show on social media. Check out my Instagram story highlights, as well as these posts (1) and (2) on Instagram and these (1) and (2) on Twitter. There are only 35 shows left, so get your tickets now!

Unrelated, but important news: In the last couple of weeks I’ve been doing a lot of work to the site behind the scenes. The rest of the site, including the gallery, will remain at BeyondBeautifulJLo.com. Please note that you will have to re-register to view the images in the gallery. You may have also noticed missing thumbnail images in the gallery, but that should be completely resolved in the next few days. If you run into any problems, please message me or tweet @BBJLo!

Jennifer Lopez Partners With Inglot For New Makeup Line!

Jennifer Lopez is teaming up with Inglot Cosmetics to create a new limited edition cosmetic collection, which will launch April 26! The 70-piece line will include powders, lipsticks, eye shadows, eyelashes, palettes, blush and bronzers to help fans recreate the JLo Glow !”The capsule collection we created with Inglot is filled with all my go-to products in my favorite colors. We have everything from mascara, lipsticks, eyelashes, blush, eye shadow and of course…bronzers,” said Jennifer in a statement. “What I think is unique and exciting is our Freedom System Palette—which allows you to create your own personalized palette with the specific colors and products that you need. Now you no longer have to buy that 5-piece eyeshadow kit to get the one color you really want!”

A limited edition palette inspired by Jennifer’s look in the advertising campaign will launch on April 17. The palette will cost $49, with the collection ranging from $8.50 to $26.

Jennifer told WWD, “It is something I have been wanting to do for a very long time. A makeup line seemed like a natural progression since people are always asking about the products I use and how I get the glow to my skin”.

The line will be available on JenniferLopezInglot.com, InglotUSA.com and in Inglot stores, as well as select Macy’s stores in the US.

Shades of Blue Final Season Premiere Airs June 17!

NBC has announced that “Shades of Blue” will conclude after three seasons this Summer. Jennifer has a full slate between All I Have, World of Dance, 2019’s Bye Bye Birdie and a number of yet to be announced TV and film projects. Shades will premiere its 10-episode third season on Sunday, June 17 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

“I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character – a woman, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother,” Jennifer said in a press release. “Now looking at it with a little distance, playing Harlee strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman. It’s crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful. We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption. The way only Harlee could have done it – the hard way, the road less traveled. I thank NBC and all the talented actors, writers, crew and producers for going on this journey with us!”

“We are very proud that this remarkable series attracted iconic stars like the incomparable Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta to broadcast television,” said Lisa Katz, Co-President, Scripted Programming, NBC Entertainment. “We are so grateful for all the hard work and dedication of Jack Orman and his incredible producers as well as the entire cast and crew.”
