Jennifer Lopez To Appear At Samsung Charity Gala

Jennifer Lopez is set to appear at Samsung’s Tenth Annual Hope for Children Gala on June 7 at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street. Samsung’s Hope For Children campaign initiatives support Jennifer’s charity, The Maribel Foundation, among other celebrity-supported charities.

You may remember that Jennifer performed at the gala last year. This year, Samsung is auctioning off various items to raise money for each charity. They are auctioning off a guitar signed by Jennifer. The proceeds will benefit The Maribel Foundation. You can bid on the guitar here.

“On The Floor” #2 On The World Charts!

“On The Floor” is still kicking butt worldwide and on the US Hot 100! The song slid from #1 to #2 on the World Chart his week. Over on the US Hot 100, it dropped from 3 to 6. On the Digital Songs chart, it dropped from 4 to 6, selling 149,000 copies. The song is incredibly close to double-platinum status, so hopefully she will cross that threshold next week! (It’s only .69 on Amazon, so buy it!) “On The Floor” moved up two spots on the Pop Songs (airplay) chart, from 7 to 5.

With the focus remaining on “On The Floor”, “I’m Into You” dropped to #91 on the Hot 100. The video, however, was the #1 most viewed on Yahoo this week.

A radio “add date” of June 14 was announced for Pop radio, so we expect that we’ll see airplay and sales increases when that date draws closer.  In the meantime, “I’m Into You'” has been added to Urban and Rhythmic stations, so support JLo and request “I’m Into You” on your local Urban and Rhythmic radio stations. You can also buy “I’m Into You” on iTunes.

Finally, LOVE? dropped to #9 on the Billboard 200 with 33,000 copies sold this week. Make sure to support Jennifer this week and buy LOVE?, the deluxe edition or the Glitterati edition so she can remain in the top 10 next week!

The winning formula turned out to be a music trifecta: pop diva Jennifer Lopez, rock star Steven Tyler and record executive Jimmy Iovine, the combination of which resuscitated the show that remains a ratings powerhouse unlike any other series of the past decade. Of course, getting there was no song. For the first time, the stars and makers of American Idol reveal how its new identity came to be.
