JLo Announced As Global Face of Coach

Jennifer Lopez has been announced as the new global face of Coach! Beginning with the Spring 2020 season, Jennifer will appear in international ad campaigns for the label’s ready-to-wear, accessory and footwear lines.

“I’m so excited for this collaboration with Coach,” Jennifer shared in a press release. “It is a timeless brand that I’ve always been a fan of and the upcoming collection really speaks to my personal style — an uptown downtown mix.”

“Jennifer is so authentic. She’s determined and she’s an original who has followed her own path to do things her own way — she really embodies the attitude of Coach and our new campaign,” said Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “I loved when Jennifer carried the Coach Signature bags in her 2002 video ‘All I Have’. She’s from New York like Coach, which creates another authentic connection with our heritage, and I’m particularly excited about bringing Jennifer and Juergen Teller together.”

Jennifer has also continued working with Quay Australia. She and Alex Rodriguez star in a new ad campaign. You can shop her collection at QuayAustralia.com.

JLo Named GQ’s Icon of The Year!

Jennifer Lopez graces the cover of GQ’s annual Men of the Year issue as their 2019 Icon of the Year! She was interviewed by Jessica Pressler, who conducted the interview Hustlers was based on. Here’s an excerpt:

You have been through so much in your career, like there was that whole early-2000s “She’s a diva” thing. Now that we are in this period of sort of increased awareness of that, do you ever have moments where you look back and you’re like, “Wow, that was sexist or racist”—or otherwise, you know, fucked-up?

For sure. Because I was Latin, and I was a woman, and I was Puerto Rican, and they were not giving me the same pass that they gave everybody else at certain times. It’s hard to remember specifics. I wish I could. But honestly, I don’t like to harp on the negative or feel sorry for myself. You know, it, it just is what it is. There were moments in my life where it got to me more. Where it kind of took me down for a second. But it never took me down for very long. The energy was always in just getting better, doing more growing, and driving myself. To be better, all the time. And creating more opportunities for myself. Just, be resilient. They’ll give up.
