American Idol is starting to wrap up the season, with just two weeks left until the finale! There’s no better time to count down a few of my favorite JLo looks this season. Read on to see my countdown!
Dick Clark productions and Billboard announced today that international music superstar Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the prestigious Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. The show will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, on ABC at 8pm ET.
The Icon Award is a lifetime achievement award and the ultimate honor. Jennifer is the 4th artist and the first woman, in the four years of its existence, to receive the award for their remarkable and enduring contribution to popular music. Past winners include Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, and Prince.
“Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of her generation,” said Larry Klein producer of the Billboard Music Awards. “We are thrilled to honor her historic career with the 2014 Icon Award and will be on the edge of our seats like everyone else when she takes the stage.”
Jennifer will also take the stage with Pitbull to debut the official anthem of this year’s FIFA World Cup, “We Are One (Ole Ola).” Closing her performance, Jennifer will have another debut performance of her single, “First Love,” off her 10th album entitled “AKA”!!

The cover was photographed by Gomillion and Leupold. A.K.A. was one of the possible titles Jennifer mentioned on Live with Jimmy Kimmel last week. She explained, “I feel like I’ve been given so many monikers, and I do a lot of different things.” We think it fits perfectly with the multi-talented JLo! It’s a great way to celebrate her many hats and accomplishments.

Jennifer is also performing at radio shows in Los Angeles and Chicago. Finally, she also has a special solo concert scheduled at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut on June 21.
