Finally it’s here, the video for On The Floor!
Our video analysis
She’s in the dark alley, which is a dark period in her career. Notice how it looks similar to the alley in the Do It Well video. (Do It Well underperformed, peaking at #31 on the Hot 100.) You can see another car approaching as she steps out of the car and a Kim K look-a-like is closely watching her. This represents other newcomers approaching and taking her game. She realizes she has to do something and show people that “there’s only one coca cola”. She’s ready to make it happen, so she puts her glamorous earrings on and goes into the club.
In the catsuit, you can see the fire in her eyes. She is preparing herself mentally and getting excited and inspired. Jennifer announces a new JENeration. A shot of an alien looking figure appears, this represents her being alienated by the current generation.
Next we see Queen JLo in the club. She represents her success and when she was truly on top (notice the cane from Get Right?). She’s watching everyone in the club and looks bored. This represents Jennifer’s break/maternity leave. While she was on her break, she kept herself up to date but was feeling uninspired with the new crop of starlets.
You see a lot of shots of people who look important and are posed as others dance around them. That represents Hollywood and the new generation. The Hollywood crowd is posing and showing off and the people in the new generation are dancing all over the place.
A quick shot of RedOne is shown, he gives the start sign for Jennifer to step back into the game. Jennifer hypnotizes the crowd and is ready to make everyone dance. Queen Jen all of a sudden seems interested again. She’s inspired now and ready to get back in the game. Everyone notices her and they are ready to embrace her again, so they all dance around her and copy her dance moves. They’re all fans now dancing along with her and enjoying the party.

Update: This is supposed to be very tongue in cheek. We did it because we were joking that Britney and Gaga fans always come up with a deep analysis for their videos, so don’t take it too seriously. :p
