JLo Signs With Epic Records

Big music news! Billboard reports that Jennifer Lopez has returned to Epic Records, signing a new long-term contract with the Sony Music-owned label and reuniting with longtime mentor, Epic chairman and CEO L.A. Reid.

Per Billboard, Reid said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Jennifer back home with me to Epic Records. Jennifer is a true global icon with a magnetism that seers across music, film, and TV and I’m excited to be working together again.”

You may recall that Jennifer was part of the Epic family beginning with her first album, On The 6. In 2010, she moved to Universal’s Island Def Jam, where L.A. was the CEO. Shortly after LOVE? was released in 2011, L.A. moved to Epic.

A source told US Weekly, “[Jennifer is] always making music. And she’s really excited to work with L.A. to put new stuff out!”
