JLo Partners With Quay Australia

Our favorite power couple, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, are the new faces of Quay Australia‘s 360 global marketing campaign — the first major campaign the duo has been featured in together. As part of the year long partnership, the brand has released a namesake collection inspired by the spirit and style of both Jennifer and Alex– a QUAY X JLO women’s line and a QUAY X AROD men’s line.

Regarding the partnership, Quay Australia CEO Jodi Bricker commented, “Jennifer Lopez is the ultimate female force, an inspiration for women who dream of doing it all. She owns and expresses each diverse side of herself — superstar, businesswoman, mother — and that’s exactly what this brand stands for. The ability to put on your best self each day, whatever that means to you.” Bricker adds, “Partnering with Jennifer and Alex gives us the ultimate ability to bring that magic to our community. They are both genuine fans of the brand, which is so important to Quay. Individually they are powerful; together they are unstoppable.”

A collection designed to be as powerful as the woman who inspired it, the QUAY X JLO range is comprised of 6 styles with multiple colourways, featuring luxe metal accents, oversized shapes, and flashy lens finishes. The women’s line offers a variety of different shapes and sizes, including a new twist on classic aviators, flirty cat eyes, and statement shields, retailing for $60 USD each.

“Sunglasses have always been an important part of my wardrobe,” says Jennifer. “I love how easy it is to change my mood by just putting on a pair of sunglasses. Self-expression and confidence are so important to me, and that powerful feeling you get when you put on a great pair of sunglasses is part of that.”

Jennifer has been a longtime fan of the brand — known for their celebrity following and limited-edition collaborations — and has been spotted regularly in Quay sunglasses since 2015.

“Quay Australia has been one of my go-to brands ever since I first discovered them a few years ago,” she elaborates. “I fell in love with them, and I’ve worn them regularly since. When the opportunity to team up was presented, it felt so fitting. Getting to do this with Alex was a big bonus too. He loves sunglasses as much as I do.”

JLo Exec-Producing Legal Twin Drama for CBS

Jennifer Lopez will executive produce a new legal drama at CBS! The untitled series, which will also be executive produced and written by Michael Rauch (“Royal Pains”), will focus on twin brothers who are both lawyers. The twins duke it out in their personal lives but are at their best teaming up in the courtroom.

This is the latest in a string of recently announced Nuyorican projects. Jennifer is also starring in and exec-producing an HBO film based on drug lord Griselda Blanco and exec-producing NBC’s reality competition World of Dance. This is, of course, in addition to their current shows, Shades of Blue and The Fosters.

“I’ve always been inspired by Jennifer and love the way she looks in my shoes – it was a natural evolution to collaborate together, ”says Giuseppe Zanotti in a press release. “The collection, like Jennifer, is sensual, sophisticated, modern but also playful with a bit of edge.”

“I think it goes without saying that like every other girl, I love a killer pair of shoes” says Jennifer Lopez. “ Whether I’m walking the red carpet or dressed casually, the right shoes complete my outfit to make me feel beautiful, sexy, and fearless. The collection Giuseppe and I have created is everything you would expect from the both of us – bad ass high heels with shapes that are fierce and of course, have some sparkle!”

Bringing together the different facets of Jennifer Lopez’s style with Giuseppe Zanotti’s signature aesthetic, shoes in the collection range from crystal-encrusted open-toe booties to embellished wedge sneakers to strappy gladiators in snakeskin-print leather. At once feminine and contemporary, the color palette features dreamy pastels, cool grays and warm beiges. Two styles of leather handbags with artful detailing complete the collection.

JLo & NBC Team Up For World of Dance

The JLo Empire continues to expand! Jennifer’s newest project is World of Dance, a new show she is executive-producing through her Nuyorican Productions. World of Dance, which will air on NBC, is a 10-episode dance-competition series open to all genres, ages and group sizes that features a $1 million prize.

Competitors will be chosen from qualifying events and online submissions and will be divided into three divisions: Junior (any size act that features dancers under 16 years old); Upper (groups of one to four dancers over 16 years old); and Team (groups of 5 or more dancers over 16 years old). Those interested in competing can register at World of Dancing (worldofdancecasting.com).

Jennifer had this to say in a statement: “This will be a fierce, talent-heavy, dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents. I am excited to work with World of Dance, an organization that has had an immeasurable impact on the dance community, to give all dancers an enormous platform where their dreams can be realized.”

The creative team working on the series includes choreographers Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo, known as Nappytabs, who choreographed Jennifer’s Las Vegas show, All I Have. Per Variety, it is undetermined if she will appear on camera.
