More details have emerged about the show Q’Viva! The Chosen and its partnership between pop-Latin superstars Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, acclaimed director-choreographer Jamie King and American Idol creator and XIX Entertainment CEO and founder Simon Fuller.
The husband and wife team of Lopez and Anthony will embark on what’s being described as “an epic three month long journey to create the ultimate live show celebrating Latin music, artistry and dance.” Their travels will take them to remote areas of the Americas and filming will incorporate three languages.
No network partner has been announced yet, but according to a statement being released on Wednesday, the show will broadcast simultaneously across 21 countries in North America, Central America and South America.
Says Lopez of Q’Viva: “This is a show for the 21st century with an unprecedented global and local story. The Latin culture is a tapestry that is rich in passion, tradition and artistry. We are going to places where all of this talent lives and wouldn’t have otherwise been discovered. This journey for me and Marc is going be exciting and groundbreaking.”
Fuller, who’ll serve as executive producer, comments that Q’Viva “truly celebrates the beauty and splendor of Latin music and dance.” Adds King: “This is not about competition, it’s about finding great talent, cultivating that talent and sharing it with the world.”
