Big news! The pilot for Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming NBC TV drama, Shades of Blue, will be directed by Academy Award-winning director, Barry Levinson. He will also executive produce and have a hands on role in developing the series, which is set to premiere next Fall.
Jennifer will play Harlee McCord, a single mother and detective who is recruited to work undercover for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force. Part of a close-knit unit known for its conviction record, Harlee has become compromised by her dirty cop colleagues — all of whom also pitch in to help raise her daughter — and finds herself faced with the moral dilemma of working against her cop brothers in order to redeem herself.
Production is scheduled to begin next Summer in New York.
