The ‘American Idol’ Top 8 belted out their best renditions of tunes from the movies this week. During performance night, Jennifer Lopez said she hoped that not another girl would be sent home. Then, on elimination night and after America’s 53 million+ votes, “Mr. Million-watt smile” – Paul McDonald was sent home.

Top 8 Performance Night – APR 13
Last week Jennifer gave us the opportunity to choose which dress she would wear on performance night; the winner was the “#creamwithgold” long-sleeve cut-out Hervé Léger (see it on the runway). BUT, tonight the “#sparklywithtulle” Georges Chakra contender was given a chance on the ‘American Idol’ stage!
The newly-crowned, “Most Beautiful Woman in the World” most definitely owned up to her title in the “chantilly lace with Swarovski crystal bodice” dress from the designer’s couture collection.
Top 8 Elimination Night – APR 14
Jennifer was jaw-dropping in an all gold super-studded Gucci dress, sleek high-braid and bold ‘it-color’ orange-tint lips.
